L'histoire de Obissa /The story of Obissa/Historien om Obissa

2: The story of Obissa and group members.

Obissa - a play with words and music.
How can two French and one Danish artist, work on their first meeting in a recording studio where they have just a few hours available. They do not speak each others language. They have only the music and discover desire (garnished with a slightly bad english) available. Are they curious and interested enough to find out anything about language differences and similarities. About languages musicality. The result was a very special CD, with French and Danish and cross-border languages: music and sounds.

"A Quelquechose / As if it's something." Is a love letter to the two very different languages, French and Danish. A love letter to and play with words and music.
Languages are like different kinds of music. They speak directly to your feelings. They can be understood and enjoyed without one understands the words actual meaning.
They are also a fleeting moment in space. Words lead other words from one voice to another. They are there at the moment and then gone. Yet there is something left. A new understanding.
A Quelquechose / As if it is something is definitely not a masterpiece, but it is in some way one-standing.
Obissa consists of the French poet and word artist Isabelle Barat, musician and composer Laurent "Saxi" George, writer and musician Ole Bundgaard.
